Dear Esther won “Best World/Story” award at Indiecade 09. The ceremony was held at Sony Pictures in Los Angeles.

i carry your heart was selected for the Romopoesia Film Festival, Italy 09.

There is a four page feature of thechineseroom’s game development work in Issue 40 of GamesTM magazine. There is a section devoted to the music and it includes the following: “RAISING THE GAME-  Dear Esther's score holds it together. Dear Esther demands a rare degree of concentration and perseverance, but it's the wonderful, haunting music that carried us through the entire experience.”

Collaborator Dan Pinchbeck is featured in Zeit Online. The journalist notes that the “hypnotic soundtrack creates a feeling of loneliness, whilst increasing the tension of the player’s journey with each step”.

Perpetual Light: Requiem for an Unscorched Earth has been funded by Arts Council England. I am now working with producers ArtsAgenda and the requiem will be performed toward the end of 2010. I have been awarded a PRS Foundation Award for New Works to write the requiem


Chosen as Axis artist of the month. Curator Angela Beck writes that “Curry’s sound pieces…are contemplative, often haunting compositions that exist in a variety of contexts: they evoke strangeness, disorientation, and loss.”
